Marrakech desert trip to M’hamid 4 days

Marrakech –Kasbah of Telouet – Kasbah of Aït Ben Hadou – Ouarzazate – Tamnougalt

Your 4-day Marrakech desert trip starts in the morning. You begin your Sahara tour by going through the High Atlas and the Tizi’n’Tichka pass (2,260m above sea level).

Several stops will be made on the road so that you can admire the magnificent views that offer us the mountains of the High Atlas, between typical Berber villages and green valleys!

Enjoy a visit to the Kasbah of Telouet. Located near the small village of Telouet, the Kasbah is also close to salt mines and on the old road of the merchant caravans. It is also called the Palace of Glaoui.

After this stop, you will cross the beautiful Valley of Ounila to reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The ksar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The village of Aït Ben Haddou is inhabited. You can admire its kasbahs in red earth with the typical architecture of South Morocco. The road continues to Ouarzazate and then to the small village of Tamnougalte unstoppable charm with its kasbahs and the palm grove. Dinner and overnight in Tamnougalte.

Marrakech desert trip : camp overnight in M’hamid

The next day, you resume your Morocco desert trip to reach the Sahara. Your Morocco desert tour will take you first to the city of Agdz. Then you continue to Zagora. Stop at Zagora for lunch.

Your Marrakech Sahara tour continues until Tamgrout. Visit the Koranic library and pottery workshops. The road continues a little before arriving in the last oasis of Draa Valley: the village of M’hamid. After crossing the palm of M’hamid, you arrive at the desert camp. Traditional tea will be served. For the end of the day, enjoy a ride camel. Sunset on the dunes. Enjoy dinner and overnight in  M’hamid desert camp.

From Mhamid to Agdz

The 3rd day of the Marrakech desert trip begins with a breakfast at our Morocco desert camp in M’hamid. In the morning you can take a walk on the dunes.

After lunch at the camp, you take the 4X4 and go back through the beautiful Draa Valley. Oued Drâa is the longest Moroccan river that stretches over 1,000 km. The Draa Valley is very beautiful with its many kasbahs and palm groves. You are on the road of the “thousand kasbahs”. The Anti Atlas offers you very beautiful landscapes. You will stop at Agdz where you will spend the night.

Marrakech desert trip – Ouarzazate – High Atlas

The 4th day of your Marrakech desert trip is dedicated to returning to Marrakech.

After breakfast in Adgz, continue to the Anti-Atlas mountains and then to Ouarzazate. Then you take the road in the High Atlas to arrive in the afternoon in Marrakech. End of your Morocco desert tour.
