Day 1 – Desert trip from Ouarzazate in the beautiful Draa Valley to Zagora and Mhamid
The departure for this 3-day desert trip from Ouarzazate is scheduled in the morning (8.30 AM). Your guide will pick you up from your hotel.
The first day of the Morocco desert tour is devoted to crossing the beautiful Drâa Valley.
The Drâa Valley is named after Oued Drâa, the longest river in Morocco (1,100km). This Valley offers very beautiful landscapes with the Anti Atlas on one side, red ocher color and palm groves on the other side, lush oases before the Sahara desert. The Draa Valley hide also very nice traditional villages with red ocher color houses.
During your 4×4 trip, you will pass first through the road in the Anti-Atlas mountains, then the village of Agdz, before arriving at Tamnougalt, ksar with fortified kasbahs.
The desert trip continues to the city of Zagora. The town of Zagora is on the old road of caravan traders who went to Timbuktu after crossing the Sahara. You will stop there to take lunch in a local restaurant.
After this break, the 3-day desert trip from Ouarzazate to Mhamid lasts 2 hours more to arrive in the desert.
It’s in the dunes of the M’hamid desert that you will spend the night in a Sahara desert camp. Dinner and night in a nomadic tent or under the stars.
Day 2 – Sahara camel trek in M’hamid
On the next day, after breakfast in the camp in M’hamid, you enjoy a day Morocco camel trek in the dunes around.
Lunch will be done in the middle of the desert, in the shade of tamaris in front of an incredible view on the golden dunes of the Sahara.
The caravan will be back in the camp in the afternoon. Just on time to admire the sunset over the surrounding dunes. After that, you will enjoy tasty dinner and music around a campfire.

Day 3 – Desert trip from Ouarzazate -Tamegrout – Adgz
For the last day of your M’hamid desert trip from Ouarzazate, you leave the desert camp in the morning. It’s time to say goodbye to your hosts, the Sahrawis nomads and take the direction of the Drâa Valley.
A stop at Tamgrout is planned to visit the Koranic library and the pottery workshops. Tamegrout’s hand-made pottery, which stands out for its green color, is known throughout all the country.
This time you will stop in Agdz for lunch before going towards the Anti-Atlas mountains.
Arrival in Ouarzazate at the end of the afternoon.
