Day 1 – Morocco desert trek from M’hamid – Oued Laatach

Discover the ancient caravan route in the Sahara with local guides for 4 days. On foot, on the backs of camels, admire the golden sand dunes during your camel trekking Morocco from M’hamid.

Your Sahara trek starts in the morning from the village. Your guides are waiting for you with the camels.

The Morocco camel trek in the desert begins in the direction of Oued Laatache. You enjoy 2 to 3 hours of hiking in the Sahara. The caravan moves towards to Oued Laatache, this river that is now dry. The camel trek in the Sahara will make you discover on this way pretty landscapes with tamarisks.

After lunch in the desert, the Sahara camel trekking tour continues. In the evening, admire a beautiful sunset. Then, you set up the wild camp for the night.

Day 2 – Discovery of the Erg Zahar dunes during this 4-day Morocco desert trek

In the morning of your second day in the Sahara desert, once the camp folded, the Morocco desert hike continues.

The camel trekking in the desert of Morocco brings you to the dunes of Erg Zahar, also called “the screaming dunes“. Enjoy this unique show offered by nature where light, wind, sand mingle to form a poetic painting. Listen to the magic sound emitted by the sliding of the sand reminiscent of a musical instrument … Installation of the tents at the foot of the big dune.

Day 3 – Erg Zahar – Oued Zaair – Sidi Naji

For the third day of your Morocco camel trek, we have planned a hike between the dunes of Erg Zahar to the beautiful dunes of Erg Zmila. You will enjoy lunch in the desert, in the shade of tamarisk at midday.

After a visit of Erg Zmila, the time then came to continue your Sahara camel trekking in the desert through a plateau to reach the tomb of Sidi Naji, became a place of pilgrimage. The tents will be installed here for the night.

Day 4 – Lahnaniche – Ouled Driss – back to M’hamid

The fourth day of your camel trekking Morocco is devoted to walking in the dunes of Lahnaniche.

Your hike in the Sahara desert will take you through the golden dunes before arriving at Ouled Driss. It is a “ksar”, a fortified village typical of the Sahara with ramparts, towers, inner narrow streets, founded in the seventeenth century.

After Oued Driss, you will go back to M’hamid. End of your camel trekking Morocco program.
